Three different areas
Wyong town. Older houses — some from before the war — around the town centre and river, with a few heritage items. Mix of weatherboard, fibro and brick.
Tuggerah. A regional retail, commercial and industrial precinct. Strip outs of tenancies, warehouse fit-outs and hardstand concrete removal.
The valleys and growth areas. Ourimbah, Palm Grove, Mardi, Jilliby, Yarramalong and Dooralong, plus newer estates at Wadalba and Hamlyn Terrace, with rural-residential blocks being cleared for homes.
Older houses
Pre-1990 houses and outbuildings are surveyed for asbestos before pricing, and removal is arranged through separately licensed removalists. See asbestos removal.
Rural and bushland blocks
Clearing may involve farm sheds, fencing, dams, dumped material and vegetation. Council tree and vegetation controls apply, bushfire requirements may too, and suspect material is tested before disposal. See site clearing.
Flood-affected land
Near the Wyong River and toward the lake, flood considerations can apply. See council and approvals.

Questions people ask before they commit
Do you do strip-outs at Tuggerah?
Yes — retail, office and industrial tenancies around the Tuggerah commercial and industrial areas, planned around trading hours, building management and services isolation.
Can you clear rural blocks in the valleys?
Yes. Properties toward Yarramalong, Dooralong, Jilliby and Ourimbah can involve old farmhouses, sheds, fencing, dams and vegetation. Clearing follows council tree and vegetation controls, and bushfire requirements where relevant.
Are older Wyong houses heritage-listed?
Some buildings in and around Wyong's older town area are heritage items. Demolishing a listed item generally needs a development application. Most houses are not listed, but it is checked first.
What about flood-affected land?
Parts of Wyong near the Wyong River and low-lying areas toward Tuggerah Lake can be flood-affected, which influences the approval and new build and can affect site access in wet weather.
